Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid and CPR(adult/child/infant)/AED

The course is designed to meet the regulatory and credentialed training requirements for those involved in child care who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies. The course is for child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organization, coaches for children's sports organization and others. The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid Course contains information on how to manage illness and injuries in a child in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

Basic Infant Care
These classes are designed for those who want to learn the basics of infant care. The information provided is based on current research and recommendations from reliable professional sources such as The American Academy of Pediatrics.

Infant Care for Parents
We will cover topics including bathing, diapering, feeding, safe sleep/tummy time, cord and circumcision care, feeding and soothing and comforting skills. We will also go over topics unique to adoptive parents such as the possibility of breastfeeding your adoptive baby and traveling with your newborn.

Infant Care for Caregivers coming soon
This course was developed for those who want to pursue a career working with infants, such as newborn care specialists, nanny's, daycare providers, babysitters, au pairs, certified nurses assistants and home health aids. This class provides a more in depth look at infant care. We will cover the basics such as bathing, diapering, feeding, safe sleep/tummy time, cord and circumcision care, feeding and soothing and comforting skills. But we will also cover growth and development over the first year, learn and interpret baby cues that will assist the caregiver to provide better care and CPR and first aid.

The Art of Infant Massage
Science is now catching up with what mothers of ancient cultures have always known, massaging and touching your baby is vital to your baby's health and wellbeing. During this class you will learn the how to nourish your baby through touch. Studies conducted around the world show many benefits to massaging babies, such as better sleep, promotion of bonding and attachment and reduced colic symptoms. You will learn the history and benefits of infant massage, the different massage strokes and other basics so when your baby arrives you will be ready to begin massaging your baby.
